The war forces in the US administration are again threatening to resort to the military option and direct intervention in Syria, in parallel with a wide propaganda campaign alternated by Western and Arab media, to convince public opinion of the legitimacy of this option, under the pretext of protecting civilians.

The Syrian Negotiation Commission issued, this evening, a new political statement on the eastern Ghouta. In this regard, we clarify the following:

Monday, 12 March, Mr. Hadi Al-Bahra, a member of the Syrian Negotiation Commission, delivered a speech outside the session of the UN Security Council, in an informal meeting called by members of the Council in accordance with what is known as "Arria-formula".

There are different analyses, about the recent military escalation, in and around Syria, and about its consequences. This makes the general impression, that things are decided by military weapons, prevail again.

Since the beginning of the 20th century, the world has been in a tug of war between two conflicting poles: Imperialism, with its quest for survival and expansion, on the one hand, and the peoples of the world, with their need for non-exploitative development, on the other hand.

Security Council Resolution 2401 which was issued on 24 February 2018 has brought many indications and messages, on the Syrian, regional and international levels, in the context of the conflict in and around Syria:

People’s Will Party welcomes the Resolution of UN Security Council on the declaration of a ceasefire in all Syrian territories for 30 days and the introduction of humanitarian aid.

There is no doubt that the constitution of any country is a sovereign matter. It goes without saying that it would have been better if the crisis had not reached what it had reached, and would have been better if it was not removed from the hands of the Syrians. But things went this way, and the Syrians were unable to solve their crisis by their own, because of the dominant irrational logic of "Quell vs. Overthrow", and because of the fact that the crisis has been internationalized, the involvement of the international community in the Syrian crisis through the United Nations as a facilitator of a consensual political process, has become indispensable for anyone who really wants to preserve the unity and sovereignty of the Syrian, state and to make the Syrians restore their own decision. .

The forces of obstruction have spared no effort, since the Geneva 1 Communiqué up to the present date, to prevent the political solution. With every step of progress in the political process, and whenever the circumstances became suitable for turning this process into concrete procedures, these forces used to resort to escalation in many forms: military, diplomatic, political and media, to abort the progress.

The new Zionist aggression and bombing of Syrian military sites is an extension of the campaign of escalation initiated by the war forces in the US administration, whether directly through the US warplanes bombing of Syrian military sites in Deir al-Zour and the propaganda campaign about chemical weapons, or through the Turkish aggression on Afrin and other areas in the northern regions of Syria, or through the field escalation carried out by the terrorist "Al-Nusra Front".
