Statement of Russian Foreign Ministry on Bogdanov-Jamil Meeting

On October 12, 2019, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Middle East and Africa, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, met with Mr. Kadri Jamil, representative of the leadership of Change and Liberation Front, and Head of Moscow Platform of Syrian Opposition.

The two sides discussed the developments of political and military situation in Syria, including in the Northeast of the country, and also the issues of political settlement of the Syrian Crisis, with concentration on the task of securing a stable atmosphere for the working of the Constitutional Committee in accordance with the decisions of the Syrian National Dialogue Conference in Sochi and the provisions of UN Security Council Resolution 2254.
