Kassioun Editorial 1197: Attacking is the Best Way to Protect Syria

Kassioun’s last editorial focused on the main dangers threatening Syria, and presented an initial vision of “how do we protect Syria?” What is certain this week is that threats are increasing, and their indicators and warnings are becoming clearer.

Zionist Minister Smotrich’s statement that the borders of Jerusalem extend to Damascus should be understood seriously and correctly. First, by setting aside attempts to belittle these statements on the basis that the person who said them is just a crazy extremist, as this crazy extremist is the truest expression of the true criminality of both the Zionist entity and Washington. Second, his statement about Damascus should be understood in its true, deep meaning, which most likely does not mean an “Israeli” ground invasion to control Damascus, but rather controlling it politically through a series of successive actions.

This series of actions includes igniting comprehensive hybrid chaos; igniting battle fronts in the northwest, northeast, and south; and planting illusions of various kinds in these regions, which would destroy their owners first and foremost before others. However, in order for the circumstances to be favorable for a series of explosions in the periphery, it will require the “Israelis” and the Americans to deal a severe blow to the centrality of the Syrian state represented by the regime and the government, which is still a legitimate representative from the UN point of view. This means that what is being prepared for the country is a chain reaction, starting with a central detonator, whose function is to activate local detonators, leading to a comprehensive explosive chaos, whose target will not be only Syria, but the entire region. This is especially since the Americans need compensation and an alternative path with the complexity of the tasks assigned to the “Israelis”, whether inside Palestine or in Lebanon or with regard to Iran.

Defending Syria and protecting it from slipping back into a sea of blood, chaos, and destruction requires moving to the offensive.

This attack should be carried out on several axes:

  • On the regional-international axis, the three Astana countries, led by Russia, must complete the role they began in fighting terrorism, by combating “Israeli” terrorism, preventing it from continuing its aggression against Syria, and preventing it from working to destroy it again by turning it into a huge mine to blow up the entire region. The Astana tripartite must also bring the Syrian-Turkish settlement to completion as quickly as possible, to prevent any potential explosion in the northwest.
  • On the national political axis, towards overcoming the imaginary dichotomies and vertical divisions, with the aim of unifying the efforts of patriotic Syrians and focusing them on the process of resisting the imminent Zionist danger, and on accelerating the closing of the country’s major gaps through a comprehensive political solution by fully implementing UNSC Resolution 2254.
  • On the popular axis, towards pressure to restore Syria’s unity through a political solution, and through pressure on the de facto forces in all parts of Syrian, which prove daily they are incapable of even defending their narrow interests, and are shortsighted and unable to realize that they themselves are exposed to imminent danger.

The threats facing the country and its people are undoubtedly great, but the opportunities to confront them are also great. Within the attrition battles with the colonizer, the colonizer has always had less patience and endurance. However, the condition was always the presence of resistance and its preparations and readiness, on all fronts, and with all tools and methods.
