The issue of the extremely difficult living conditions of more than 90% of Syrians is at the top of the list of national priorities. This is not only from a humanitarian and moral perspective, both of which are sufficient in themselves, but also from a patriotic perspective, civil peace preservation perspective, and the need to prevent harmful foreign interventions and ambitions of division and sabotage that are trying to enter through every possible loophole, and behind which stand multiple sides, mainly the warlords, the major corruption figures, and the “Israeli” enemy, which does not hide – with its usual impudence – its blatant intentions to work on dividing Syria.

Dear victorious Syrian people,

Only a few hours had passed since the departure of the previous oppressive authority, when the “Israelis” rushed to expand their comprehensive aggression on Syrian territory and the Syrian people, with shelling and airstrikes that were the most violent since the October War in 1973. These airstrikes targeted locations, equipment, and weapons that belong to the Syrian people and are part of their strength. The “Israelis” also encroached on Mount Hermon and multiple areas within the Quneitra Governorate. Thus, jumping over Resolution 338, and unilaterally ending the 1974 disengagement agreement, not to mention continuing to occupy our Syrian Golan.

Even before Trump moves into the White House, the general features of the amendments that will be introduced to American strategy within the ongoing Western struggle against the birth of a new world, and to hold on to the crumbling hegemony and unipolarity, are gradually crystallizing.

These days, the market is thriving with expectations regarding the directions that US policy will take in the upcoming Trump era, and implicitly expectations regarding what will happen in our region and in our country.

Engels’s saying that “war is the iron lung of capitalism” is still applicable now, except with the development that capitalism as a whole has been become a rusty iron lung. Capitalism’s main project has become war, and its only salvation is war and the continuation of war.

Kassioun’s last editorial focused on the main dangers threatening Syria, and presented an initial vision of “how do we protect Syria?” What is certain this week is that threats are increasing, and their indicators and warnings are becoming clearer.
