Why is it so difficult to provide stable energy flows? Is it the sanctions? Syrian official authorities deny the fact that the sanctions are the main reason of the current economic crisis, rather they point towards adapting to it and to the fact that it existed before. So, according to them, the problem is due to dollar shortage, particularly its shortage in Public Finance, and the inability to pay suppliers.
In the US, “Thanksgiving” is celebrated every year on the fourth Thursday of November, and for the longest time, children were taught that this was a celebration of the colonists and the Native Americans coming together to give thanks… for what exactly, no one ever seemed to wonder. However, in recent years, other stories surfaced about this commemorating a celebration of colonial soldiers who had just slaughtered hundreds of Native Americans.

Less than a week after announcing his retirement, James Jeffrey, the US special representative for Syria engagement and special envoy to the global coalition to defeat ISIS, made comments last Thursday, 12 November to “Defense One” regarding what the US policy in Syria should be. The man whose main objective – according to him – was “turning Syria into a quagmire”, urged the new US administration, set to take over in January 2021, to adopt the current policy, that is, the policy for which he was the executive officer.
According to the United Nations, the number of Syrian refugees exceeds 5.5 million, but this number includes only those registered with the UN, which means that the actual number is greater than that, and estimates indicate that it is about 6.6 million refugees outside the country. If we add to this number the internally displaced persons, the number will exceed 50-60% of all Syrians.
