On Wednesday, Russia launched its initiative to establish a center for the reception of Syrian refugees returning to their country. In the following days Russia joined diplomatic mobilities with countries that have the largest number of Syrian refugees, in constant coordination with the United Nations organizations, especially the UNHCR. In response to this step, several local and foreign parties began an attack on Russia, which has become a routine with every new step towards the political solution in Syria.

The anniversary of the International Labor Day for this year coincides with an important juncture that our nation is passing through: A turning point for salvation from war and beginning of the real political solution sought by our great people – the solution which will ensure a radical and comprehensive national democratic change, which its achievement have been impeded by all beneficiaries from the continuation and perpetuation of the national crisis and catastrophe, and who keep pushing, by various means, toward despair of any possibility of salvation.

The leadership of the Moscow Platform was briefed by its representatives within the Syrian Negotiating Commission (SNC) on the proceedings of the last meeting of the Commission held during the period from 16 to 19 April 2018 in the Saudi capital city of Riyadh, and in view of the rapid developments witnessed in the Syrian file, especially after what happened in the eastern Ghouta and Afrin, and after the US-French-British aggression, Moscow platform considered it necessary to inform the Syrian public opinion of its assessment of the latest meeting of SNC, which is supposed to play a serious role in reaching a political solution that the Syrian disaster will not end without. This evaluation can be summarized in the following points:
