South African Embassy in Damascus Ambassador Shaun Byneveldt
Your Excellency,
The People-want Party would like to extend through you to the South African government and people its deepest condolences on the demise of the international freedom- fighter- icon, Nelson Mandela.
There are no enough words to honor this inspiring owner of «A good head, good heart and literate tongue or pen» whose legacy and memory would be alive throughout modern history, as the struggles he had fought for decades in Apartheid jails- and after, against colonialism and fascism «seemed impossible until they were done».
Still, Madiba had stated clearly: «For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others».
The freedom and social justice fighters all over the world, including the Arab countries, would always keep in mind Mandela's support for their just causes, particularly against imperialism, Zionism and the Israeli occupation of Arab territories.
On behalf of the Secretariat of
The People-want Party
