Kassioun Editorial 1193: The Western Frog Is Getting Simmered!
The entire Western camp, headed by Washington and the global Zionist center, has been experiencing for several years a state that can be described as being like a frog that is gradually being boiled, while relaxed, over a low fire. Even now, having realized that it is being boiled, it is not able to jump out of the pot or from its destiny.
The truth is that the main feature of Washington’s actions in various conflict spots around the world is hybrid warfare, which is working to create comprehensive hybrid chaos that collapses as it deepens the ranks of its opponents and enemies from within. It is also true that this approach is its only option to maintain its hegemony in light of the practical impossibility of entering into direct wars with either of the two main powers undermining its global position: Russia and China.
However, it is also true that the opposite side is waging a comprehensive, asymmetric attrition war with the US, a “war of positions”, to use Gramsci’s expression. A war that is won by points, not by knockout blows. This war did not begin in Ukraine or Palestine, but almost two decades earlier, on the economic, financial, political, technical, military, and cultural fronts. In a word: on all fronts.
The frog is being boiled, because history teaches us that the powers of peoples, resistance forces, and rising powers have always had an immeasurably greater endurance than the powers of colonialism, which, as soon as their “colonial project” turns from a source of plundering and profits into a burden and a source of losses, quickly abandon them. The problem with the global imperialist center is that it has completely transformed into a colonial project, and its actual connection to the production process has been severed for decades. This means that the colonial project has become largely equivalent to a comprehensive collapse, primarily internal, starting with the collapse of living standards based on astronomical rates of plunder.
Understanding the ongoing conflict within this logic, including in our region, allows for a better understanding of the strategies used by resistance forces around the world, and the “quiet” and gradual way in which they operate, including the way the Lebanese resistance deals with repeated Zionist attacks, which can be understood within the following coordinates:
First: The extent of escalation practiced by the Zionist entity against Lebanon and its resistance only confirms the importance and centrality of this front as a main support front for Gaza, the West Bank, and the Palestinian resistance, and at the same time as a continuous front of attrition (and boiling) for the enemy.
Second: Every student of the history of liberation movements knows for certain that the colonized peoples’ endurance capacity is many times greater than that of colonial powers, especially in the case of settler colonialism, where the endurance capacity is the most fragile.
Third: This escalation also shows that the Zionist entity has reached a dead end in Palestine, whether in Gaza or the West Bank, and inability to achieve any of the basic goals it has set, which is pushing it to try to expand the scope of the war, which is also a miserable attempt to which the paths are being closed in its face.
Understanding the conflict within this general logic allows us to neutralize the mentality of defeat promoted either by direct enemy forces, by intellectually defeated forces among our ranks, or by forces and individuals governed by blind hatred and exceptional narrow-mindedness.
All of this does not mean in any way that the results are predetermined. Rather, it means precisely that the chances of victory are much higher than the chances of defeat, and that victory requires preparation at all levels, including by defusing the fuses of comprehensive hybrid chaos in our region and in our country.
In our country, what is required is restoring Syria’s functional role in the battle as quickly as possible. This is possible by restoring Syria’s unity and the unity of its people through the only path: a comprehensive political solution based on UNSC Resolution 2254, in cooperation with Astana, China, and key Arab countries, and against the will of the Americans and without them.
