Bogdanov discusses with Jamil Geneva-3 Developments and Prospects

Russian Foreign Ministry said in statement, Friday, April 29, 2016, that the Special Envoy of the Russian President for Middle East and North Africa, Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister,  Michael Bogdanov, has received in Moscow, Kadri Jamil, Secretary of the People’s Will Party of Syria, Member of the Leadership of Syrian opposition Change and Liberation Front.

The statement said that the two sides exchanged views on a wide range of issues related to the settlement of the Syria crisis. Stress was laid on the need for consolidating Geneva Intra-Syria Talks to be sustainable and viable under UN supervision. This should include reaching a common agreement on the frameworks of the modernized, secular, united, territorially- integrated , sovereign  Syrian State, in accordance with UNSCR 2254.
The Russian Foreign Ministry added that Jamil had introduced his assessment and conceptions o the results of the recently-closed round of Geneva Intra-Syria talks, mediated by the UNSG Special Envoy for Syria, Staffan de Mistura, between the Syrian Government Delegation and the Delegations of the Syrian Oppositions .
