2254 and «Toppling the Warmongers»

This aggressive expansion is not merely a product of expansionist desires, as some like to superficially depict the matter, but it is rather a need and necessity for capitalist countries to get out of their suffocating crises, because the natural development of capital is governed by the tendency of the rate of profit to decline, that is, the more capital develops, the lower its profit rates, and the more it resorts to swallowing a greater share of wages, which weakens consumption and consequently weakens production and sabotages the entire capital cycle, thus capital becomes obliged to break the state of suffocation it experiences within national borders through aggressive expansion outside the borders. That is, the basis of aggressive expansionism is, first and foremost, internal socio-economic crises.

The twentieth century witnessed a special pattern of expansion, which is the Soviet expansion, as an expansion through disseminating ideas and disseminating the model, and even through the soviet aids to other countries, contrary to the aggressive imperial expansion through militarism, wars and economic plunder.

In today's world, expansive and aggressive phenomena continue, but they take a new historical form. As for aggression, and the US aggression in particular, it manifests itself as aggression not in a context of expansion, but in a context of self-retreat. On the other hand, we see a global Chinese expansion, in a peaceful context based on mutual profit for the participating parties.

Between this and that, and as the two main prevailing trends (i.e. the end of aggressive expansion and the emergence of expansion through the model), phenomena of traditional aggressive expansion appear in some countries. The most prominent example of this in our region is the Turkish behavior, which the main tool for confronting it (as was the case in the first half of the twentieth century) is through «toppling the warmongers».

But within this concrete example, two issues should be emphasized:

First: Turkish behavior, like all aggressive expansionist behavior, reflects a deep internal crisis in essence, primarily socio-economic crisis, with an attempt being made to export it.

Second: There are many, for overt political reasons, on top of them the work against the Astana track, exaggerating the magnitude and future of this phenomenon of aggressive expansion. The fact of the matter is that the process of aggressive expansion of Turkey or others is a dead-end process in the historical sense; If the center of aggressive expansion is doomed to retreat, in what situation are the peripheries then? In addition, the tremendous energy of the rising powers, led by China and Russia, is sufficient to neutralize and restrain the aggressive tendencies of Turkey and of other regional countries that are driven by their internal crises first, before the unbridled imagination of their rulers.

In short, the historical door to aggressive expansion has become closed, and the ongoing solving of the various regional crises peacefully, through dialogue and through international law, is like a final irreversible sealing against reopening of that door, and it is a tool to stifle that aggression. As for us, the verbal response to aggression, which often takes the form of costless verbal insults, is ultimately belongs to the same nature, and does nothing but consolidates that aggression and opens additional margins of movement for it to escape from its inevitable fate. In contrast, the most effective way to confront and suffocate this aggression, and the US and Western aggression in general, is the immediate implementation of UNSC Resolution 2254, in a way that ends the Syrian crisis and opens the door to achieving stability and generalizing it throughout the region, and in a way that, as a result, contributes to «toppling the warmongers» internally, regionally and internationally, by obliterating the margins within which they maneuver.
