The US, along with the UK, are launching a military aggression against Yemen. The stated goal is to “protect navigation in the Red Sea from Houthi attacks”. There are those who say that among the goals is also to reduce pressure on the Zionist entity, especially with regard to its foreign trade, which has been damaged by Yemeni activity in the Red Sea.
In mid-October 2023, the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation will be held in Beijing. This coincides with the 10th anniversary of China’s launch of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), which was practically launched in September and October 2013.

On Friday, March 10, a historic agreement was announced between Saudi Arabia and Iran, including resumption of diplomatic relations between the two neighboring countries after an interruption that lasted more than seven years (since January 2016). This agreement was reached through Chinese mediation at the highest levels. The two sides expressed gratitude to Chinese President Xi Jingping personally for his efforts to achieve a settlement between the two countries.

On the June 5, the European External Action Service (EEAS) published a promotional video on Twitter regarding EU sanctions against Syria, in which it claims that the EU sanctions were “designed in a way… avoiding negative impact on the population.”
The new US sanctions package, which falls under the elusive name “Caesar Syria Civilian Protection Act”, will enter into force mid-next month. Several events are taking place in parallel, in the northeast and northwest, and in the Syrian territories in general.

While writing this piece, the total confirmed cases of coronavirus in the US is nearly one million, about a third of confirmed cases worldwide. It is both painful and sad, whether concerning the suffering of Americans due to this catastrophe, or the suffering of American medical staff on the front lines as they genuinely fight the virus and try to protect the public’s health.
