Kassioun Editorial 1186: Dancing on the Edge of the Abyss
Our entire region, and the wider world, are living on the verge of a major escalation and many dangerous possibilities. The direct driver of this situation is the American / “Israeli” behavior primarily towards Palestine, and secondarily towards all the region’s files, especially with the clear transition to adopting systematic terrorism policies represented by successive political assassinations.
Before any talk about future possibilities, we must understand the political essence behind the assassinations carried out by the “Israelis” in cooperation and agreement with the Americans, despite the latter’s attempts to deny its involvement.
The crux of the matter is that both the Americans and the “Israelis” have reached a dead end in their aggression against Gaza months ago and have failed to achieve any of the desired results. They have also failed to prevent the political losses that will result from the battle, not only on the Palestinian level, but also the expected repercussions of those losses on the regional and international levels.
In this sense, the political assassinations perform three functions together:
First: It is an attempt at political-media-psychological compensation, to cover up the actual political losses, and to create an illusion of capability and power.
Second: It is a tool in a continuous escalation, one of the goals of which is to control the weakening Western ranks on the internal level of each country, and on the level of relations among its countries. This is done by creating new realities, based on which the hesitant ones within the Western ranks are dragged to the positions required by the American center, and specifically by the center obsessed with excessive globalization and comprehensive control over the planet.
Third: Assassinations are a tool to attempt prolonging the life of the “comprehensive hybrid chaos” that has become Washington’s central and sole strategy, in our region and around the world, within the framework of defending the crumbling hegemony.
In other words, political assassinations, from the American and “Israeli” point of view, are a “compromise” between two directions, neither of which they can pursue. For them, the continuation of the war is a problem, especially if it expands, and stopping it is a problem too.
On the other hand, these assassinations themselves, and the escalation process that Washington and the Zionist entity are pushing towards, involve a clear internal contradiction. The plan for “comprehensive hybrid chaos” contradicts moving towards direct war. However, at the same time, the continuation of this chaos, with its inability to achieve its goals, especially through internally detonating a number of countries in the region, including Egypt and Saudi Arabia, requires continuous escalation, which threatens a transition to direct war.
In other words, the Americans and the Zionists are dancing on the edge of the abyss. The essence of the matter, if we look at all the possibilities, whether moving to direct war or continuing the escalation without achieving results, will lead us to one conclusion, which is that these assassinations we see are an important indicator that the timeframes available for the continuation of the comprehensive hybrid chaos project are about to run out, and that we are on the verge of entering a stage of the aging and death of this chaos, and with it American hegemony in our region.
As for what is to come, the form, extent, and nature of the response that the resistance forces will undertake to the assassinations is what will determine whether it is possible for the Americans and the Zionists to continue with the approach of assassinations and dancing on the edge of the abyss, or whether they will be forced to adopt completely different methods, including submitting to a deal as quickly as possible, within the framework of an attempt to reduce losses.
