Kassioun Editorial 1039: They Have Confessed!
Last Saturday, during the television program “The Last Edition”, on “Israeli” Channel 12, journalist Ehud Yaari admitted that: “The gas for power generation that will be transported from Egypt to Lebanon via pipes through Jordan and Syria, is Israeli gas”. This is the first “Israeli” admission of the truth of something that was not difficult for serious researchers to reach themselves.
Kassioun raised the issue through a series of articles beginning on September 8th, and studied it from different perspectives: political, economic, and geopolitical (including an article in this issue of Kassioun). All these articles concluded that the Zionist fingers were long and far-reaching within the so-called “Arab” gas pipeline project.
It is habitual of the Zionist to cook its normalization projects on low fire over many years, especially those with an economic carrier, and which it fully implements with artificial fronts, and does not announce them until they have been completed and have become a fait accompli. It is clear that the “Arab” gas project has not yet matured, and is even subject to debilities, most of which are undeclared, that the “Israeli” journalist himself talked about how if the project moved along smoothly, it would not start working for at least another year.
The first public discussion about the project began with the U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon, Dorothy Shea, who promised that the US would provide facilitation to pass the project. A few weeks before that, the King of Jordan paid a visit to Washington, during which it was said that he had proposed the project to Biden. That is, the time difference between the beginning of discussing the “Arab gas pipeline project” in its new version, and the disclosure of it and its essence did not exceed three months.
All this confirms that something has happened, which has pushed the Zionist to reveal the cards very early, contrary to the logic of the normalization work according to which it has been working for decades.
In this context, we believe that there are two basic possibilities that explain why the Zionist was forced to jump quickly towards this exposure:
The first possibility: is that the project has hit an insurmountable obstacle, and it has become clear to the Zionists that it is unimplementable, and therefore it wants to profit therefrom politically before it is buried, by scoring an additional point in the overall score of the normalization track.
The second possibility: is that the project is in great danger and facing actual threats, so the purpose of exposing it is to try to impose it as a fait accompli on those who do not want to admit that the project is real, whether out of shame or fear.
In addition, these two possibilities are part of an international and regional race towards the form and nature of new arrangements throughout our region, including US preparations for withdrawal and repositioning, which compounds the Zionist’s need to run much faster.
On the exact opposite side are the interests of Syria and the Syrian people, for which the process of radical comprehensive change starting with the full implementation of UNSC Resolution 2254 has become its healing antidote to western and Zionist poison, and the poisons of warlords, the big corruptors, and extremists from all sides, whose selfish interests, and only their interests, guide their decisions and positionings.
