From Al-Sweida until 2254

These events came as a desperate attempt in the face of a path that would lead to ending the existence of ISIS in the region and also withdrawing US forces from Tanaf [in the eastern region of Syria]. We are not exaggerating if we say that this will lead to putting on the agenda the issue of ending the Zionist occupation of the Golan Heights, as an internationally-supported Syrian right, in the framework of the political solution to the Syrian crisis.

The crime in Al-Sweida is a "failed attempt by a crisis-laden doer" to delay its losses through violence, and to put obstacles in the way of a political path that will lead, by the balance of forces, to return the entire southern region, including the Golan Heights, to the Syrian people who are the owners of it.

The political solution to the Syrian crisis has begun... Perhaps the solution to the situation in Idlib is proof of this, which may not require a full military action, but a hybrid action combining political and military operations for ending the terrorist factions stationed there. As for the north-eastern region, ending the situation there depends on the withdrawal of US forces, which is not far off. The withdrawing behavior of the United States from the Syrian file has become clear, and its procedures are only a matter of time. With this withdrawal, better conditions are being put in place to advance the political process and the participation of all Syrian parties in the comprehensive political solutions that its practical steps are being prepared to be launch: Constitutional reform; followed by elections; reaching full implementation of the UN Security Council Resolution 2254.

All the impeding conditions for entering into the details of the process of comprehensive change in Syria are being overcome: the return of all Syrian areas to the control of the Syrian state, in a way ensuring the the territorial integrity and unity of the country and the return of the refugees to their areas, which is a path that has been started by virtue of a Russian initiative with the states of the region, and in way ending the use of the Syrian refugees as an international playing card. In addition, this will be also pass through the Astana path, to implement the de-escalation agreements, reaching the termination of terrorism. And finally, to implement the following and parallel agreements in Sochi for forming of a Syrian-Syrian constitutional committee operating under international supervision, thus making all parties partners in the steps of the Syrian political solution and thus committed to its outcomes.

The path of the political solution to the Syrian crisis began with a gradual and difficult removal of all obstacles. We are now in advanced stages after the international balance of forces succeeded in subjugating the forces of international violence to the fait accompli limitting their resistance to desperate and extreme attempts here and there. However, the road is still going on until reaching at the radical and comprehensive change that its doors will be opened with the implementation of UNSC resolution 2254, as a road map that guarantees the Syrians the unity of their country and reinforces their political capacity to defend their rights and dignity and form a model for rebuilding the country in a way that prevents recreation of chaos again.
