Russian Foreign Ministry Press Release on the Meeting of Bogdanov and Jamil
The Russian Foreign Ministry issued a press release today on the meeting between Mr. Mikhail Bogdanov and the head of the Moscow Platform of the Syrian opposition Dr. Kadri Jamil. It reads as follows:
On September 11, Mikhail Bogdanov, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and African Countries, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia received the representative of the leadership of the Syrian opposition Front for Change and Liberation, the head of the Moscow Platform of the Syrian opposition, Kadri Jamil, at his request.
During the meeting, an in-depth discussion was made about a range of issues for promoting a political settlement in Syria in accordance with the decisions of the Conference of the Syrian National Dialogue in Sochi, and the provisions of UNSCR 2254.
