Last Wednesday, February 12, 2025, the Syrian presidency announced the formation of the Preparatory Committee for the “National Dialogue Conference” that included 7 members.
It has now been three weeks since the earthquake catastrophe. Clashes resumed this afternoon in Qamishli after a short truce brokered by Russia. It is not clear how long these clashes will extend. This is despite the efforts made by the residents of the area and the Russian side, to try to stop the clashes immediately.
The recent elections of People's Assembly reconfirmed what was already confirmed: the existing electoral system is a system that kills the political movement, incapable of representing society, and is a game in the hands of the financial forces and the forces of the state apparatus.
